Texting my devotion today...

Psalms 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds. -So many times when we hurt, we may try and search for things that we may think would make us feel better or maybe hurt less.One may get into trouble if they seek everything else to fix the hurt. The fix you find is not the cure and is not the way to get rid of the hurt. I know first hand what God can do if you give it to him. I love this scripture and it gives me such a sense of peace. Thank you Lord

Watch your Tongue

God's Word Translation
Psalms 101:5
I will destroy anyone who secretly slanders his neighbor. I will not tolerate anyone with a conceited look or arrogant heart.

-Lord help me to be who you called me to be. Lord touch me with your Holy Spirit so that I can think before speaking and that my words would be used to edify you, not used to destroy your people. In the name of Jesus I pray..Amen

What a wonderful scripture to feel reassured of the Lord's guidance. At times when we worry and are filled with anxiety, we tend to tune out the guidance that our Lord is trying to give us. I will include some scriptures pertaining to anxiety and worry below.

Psalm 43:5

Why are you cast down, 0 my soul? and why are you disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise

Direct me Lord

We become adults and we begin planning and maybe sometimes we get discouraged when things don't work out in our favor. Its great to plan but we must allow God to direct us. Having a relationship with God and allowing God to direct us has to go before what we actually want. I have to keep that in mind and I meditated on that verse today. I'm not scared because I have the best tour guide:)

Jesus is the Light of My Life

Then Jesus Spoke to them again,saying," I am the light of the world.He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life"- John 8:12


Allowing the holy spirit to work in us, is like turning on that flashlight during darkness. It leads, comforts,and is a necessity for us to have so that we can be lead by God and not our own understandings.That light is a gift that Christ gave to us when he was crucified. ***Thank you Lord for your gift. Without it,I would be lost.

For The Lord Upholds

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord,and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand  -Psalms 37:23-24


Ever been through something that was devastating and you began to put a wall up and not trust anymore or you became bitter? When you pray to God, do you start thinking about your hurt or your experience and its hard for you to meditate in his goodness?
You became your own worse nightmare by having recurring dreams of the hurt you been through. You allowed your circumstances to put a hold in your happiness, your goals and your dreams.
God has a way of bringing us out of our trouble. Your mind set has to shift, for the better. Because when God brings you out,the memories of the past hurt won't be there to hurt you, but to remind you that you made it out. God gets the Glory because what may have killed some, you survived it by leaning on God, by not allowing circumstances to effect you negatively. Your testimony may even help bring someone out.
Todays devotional gave me an extra boost and I hope you enjoyed it as well.

If God is for us, who can be against us?

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?- Romans 8:31

What a great thing to have God at our corner:) If we try to fix problems ourselves, we will fail. If we pray and give it to God to lead...theres no way he will leave us and theres no way that anyone or anything can defeat us. Faith that God will see us through will protect us as we go through.

What a wonderful reassurance!
Bet you didn't know that you had gold buried inside you and if you hold on, it will be revealed. You will be tested, but don't give up. You will come out of it Shining. Just like Gold:)

Today I start my Devotional Reading Blog. I will also be posting video of myself from time to time as well. Purpose for this blog?
