Psalms 101:5
I will destroy anyone who secretly slanders his neighbor. I will not tolerate anyone with a conceited look or arrogant heart.

-Lord help me to be who you called me to be. Lord touch me with your Holy Spirit so that I can think before speaking and that my words would be used to edify you, not used to destroy your people. In the name of Jesus I pray..Amen

What a wonderful scripture to feel reassured of the Lord's guidance. At times when we worry and are filled with anxiety, we tend to tune out the guidance that our Lord is trying to give us. I will include some scriptures pertaining to anxiety and worry below.

Psalm 43:5

Why are you cast down, 0 my soul? and why are you disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise

Him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Matthew 6:31, 32

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? Or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be

James 1:5, 6 - If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not;

and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea

Psalm 56:11 - In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

Proverbs 3:2.5 - Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.

Direct me Lord

We become adults and we begin planning and maybe sometimes we get discouraged when things don't work out in our favor. Its great to plan but we must allow God to direct us. Having a relationship with God and allowing God to direct us has to go before what we actually want. I have to keep that in mind and I meditated on that verse today. I'm not scared because I have the best tour guide:)

Jesus is the Light of My Life

Then Jesus Spoke to them again,saying," I am the light of the world.He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life"- John 8:12


Allowing the holy spirit to work in us, is like turning on that flashlight during darkness. It leads, comforts,and is a necessity for us to have so that we can be lead by God and not our own understandings.That light is a gift that Christ gave to us when he was crucified. ***Thank you Lord for your gift. Without it,I would be lost.
